I met Aida through barre classes she was teaching at Equinox in New York City. At that time, I was a competitive dancer, and my dance partner and I would take her classes (which were always packed) to supplement our dance training. Aida perfectly navigated the balance of creating a supportive environment while also pushing you to do your best, and although she was an incredibly popular instructor, she was always so warm and engaging with each student after classes were over. When I had to get foot surgery due to a dance injury, Aida introduced me to the world of pilates. I began taking private lessons from her in her studio in Soho, and these classes were truly life-changing. I had a leg in a cast and was unable to walk for weeks, but she showed me how to get a full-body workout on my back using machines I hadn’t known existed. I developed a stronger core than ever before, and maintained a lot of the strength I’d been afraid I’d lose while healing from surgery.
Aida is beautiful inside and out, and has helped me shape a healthy relationship with my own body while introducing me to a whole new world of pilates. I highly recommend her as a teacher and guide on anyone else’s fitness journey!
